Job summary

Publix is hiring an Environmental Sanitor for the Lakeland Fresh Kitchen. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining production equipment and areas in a fast-paced setting during night shifts. Forklift operation and GMP compliance are required.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs and ensure a clean, safe environment. Ideal candidates are physically capable of lifting 30+ pounds, can work nights and weekends, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Must be able to lift 30+ pounds frequently
• Must obtain and operate a forklift license
• Must follow GMPs and safe working habits
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and extended hours
• Must communicate effectively and work well in a team

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble detachable production equipment
• Apply chemicals to equipment and in environmental locations
• Clean and organize kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas
• Transport racks and equipment using forklift or pallet jack
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and bins
• Operate floor scrubber and assist with housekeeping duties as needed
