Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Maintenance & Sanitation Associate for our Manufacturing department in Deerfield Beach, FL. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, applying chemicals, organizing storage areas, and safely transporting materials using a forklift or pallet jack.

The role requires GMP-aligned work habits, safety focus, and the ability to work varied shifts. Strong teamwork, communication, and the capacity to lift heavy items are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must demonstrate safe working habits
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with GMPs
• Must be able to lift in excess of 30 pounds frequently
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Must have good human relations skills and be a team player
• Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling all detachable production equipment
• Applying chemicals on equipment and environmental locations
• Organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas
• Transporting racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment using forklift or pallet jack
• Maintaining cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans
• Working with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs
• Organizing air and water hoses
• Rinsing out all empty drums
• Maintaining chemical storage area
• Operating and maintaining floor scrubber
• Assisting housekeeping duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned
