Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Maintenance & Equipment worker in Manufacturing to disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production gear, and to support sanitation and equipment upkeep.

The role includes forklift operation, material transport, and adherence to GMPs. You will work with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs, assist with housekeeping, and help maintain a safe, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to push/pull heavy equipment.
• Forklift license and operate forklift.
• Demonstrate GMPs in work habits.
• Must follow safe working habits.
• Lift in excess of 30 pounds frequently.
• General knowledge of machine operation.
• Creative troubleshooting mindset.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble detachable production equipment.
• Apply chemicals to equipment and environmental areas as needed.
• Organize and clean kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas.
• Transport racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment; forklift/pallet jack usage.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs.
• Rinse out empty drums and manage chemical storage area.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubber.
• Assist with housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.
