Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. You will perform general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, ensuring health guidelines are followed and safety training is completed.

The role supports daily warehouse operations, with duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, chemical handling, and potential pallet jack use. 6+ months’ experience and the ability to pass background and drug screenings are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience required.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
