Job summary

Pipestone, MN-based JBS USA, Inc. is seeking a Sanitation/Clean-up associate for the third shift to clean and sanitize machinery, equipment and facilities to USDA standards.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential, with a potential to earn $46,800+ annually; schedule is Mon-Fri 10:30pm–6:30am, with Saturdays as needed.

Benefits include vision, medical and dental coverage after 60 days, paid time off, 401(k) and other company programs.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation experience is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of GMP, USDA and FDA regulations for sanitation tasks is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Team player with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay on task.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash down and confirm machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
• Follow sanitation procedures according to GMP, USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.
• Set up, stock and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
• Support and follow all Food Safety and Plant Safety policies and protocols.

Saturday PM (as needed) – 10:30pm – 6:30am

Overview/ Summary

This position will consists of cleaning and sanitizing the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards within a schedule to ensure maximum operating time.

Essential Duties And Rersponsibilities

• Clean/ wash down and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
• follow sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.
• Set up, stock and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Comply with and understand company policies and standards.
• Support and follow all Food Safety and Plant Safety policies, practices and protocols.

Basic Qualifications

• Previous Sanitation experience is preferred, but not required
• Previous knowledge and technical skills in sanitation, meat processing jobs and chemicals is preferred
• Good communication skills and able to follow directions
• Team Player

• Self-motivated and punctual.
• Able to work in a fast pace environment/ stay on task

• Must be at least 18yrs of age

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending and walking, which may be required for long periods of time
• Slippery floors, damp/wet environment, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
• Ability to handle multiple tasks & high pressure hoses
• Safely handling and being exposed to chemicals
• May have schedule changes
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50# unassisted
