Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a sanitation hourly team member to clean and sanitize equipment, production areas, and facilities in our poultry processing plants. You will follow detailed sanitation procedures and safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety as you contribute to high standards of cleanliness and food quality across operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry, food industry sanitation experience is a plus.
• PPE and safety requirements followed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas per USDA/food safety/company standards.
• Prepare, mix, and apply cleaning chemicals with PPE and safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation; report issues or hazards promptly.
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment; store tools and chemicals properly.
• Work with teammates to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and safely.
• Follow SOPs and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines.
• Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.
