Job summary

Clio Snacks in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Sanitation Associate Level 1 to keep our production areas clean and compliant with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and safety rules. You will perform routine cleaning of equipment, floors, drains, and facility spaces, following SSOPs and SDS, and you’ll help support pre-operational inspections.

This entry-level role prefers a high school diploma and basic literacy; sanitation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic literacy skills required to read instructions and complete forms.
• Sanitation experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, utensils, and facility areas.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning under supervision.
• Clean floors, drains, walls, and other designated areas.
• Follow established SSOPs.
• Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals according to SDS.
• Complete required sanitation documentation accurately and timely.
• Identify and report maintenance or food safety concerns to supervisor.
• Safely operate basic sanitation tools and equipment (hoses, foamers, brushes, squeegees).
• Dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Support pre-operational inspections as directed.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Comply with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and company policies.
• Follow all workplace safety rules including Lockout/Tagout awareness.

This role supports the facility’s food safety and quality programs by maintaining a clean and sanitary production environment.

Compensation
