Job summary

Pure Food Specialties is hiring a full-time sanitation worker to clean plant facilities, disinfect surfaces, sanitize equipment, and maintain a tidy environment across manufacturing, distribution, and administration areas. Weekend coverage is required, with 1st and 2nd shift hours.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED preferred, ability to read labels in English (bilingual preferred), some cleaning experience, attention to detail, and physical stamina.

• Responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room.
• Operate rack washer, power washer, steamer, washer extractors and dryers.
• Responsible for maintaining supplies such as paper products for bathrooms and towel dispensers
• Always keeping assigned work area clean and reporting contamination or suspicious activity

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide cleaning to plant facilities by using approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces, sanitize all components of our food production and processing equipment, and ensure that there is no unnecessary waste along the assembly line.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Ability to communicate and read labels in English (Bilingual preferred)
• Some cleaning experience required
• Attention to detail
• Physical stamina
• Responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• All buildings (administration, production, distribution) must be maintained according to Company Policy. Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room. Operate rack washer, power washer, steamer, washer extractors and dryers.
• Responsible for maintaining supplies such as paper products for bathrooms and towel dispensers in all buildings.
• Responsible for always keeping assigned work area clean and tidy and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a supervisor or lead immediately.
• Efficiently disassembles and assembles equipment for proper cleaning.
• Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of job.
• Is aware of the chemical properties and proper use of cleaning solutions and applies knowledge in their proper use.

All sanitation must be available to work weekends.

1st: 7:00AM-3:00PM
2nd: 3:00PM-11:00PM

PREFERRED SKILLS

• 1-3 years of sanitation experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical demands

• This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing or walking 100% of the time
• Must frequently twist, bend, and stoop when preforming work tasks.
• Frequently carry or lift 25 pounds or more.
