Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Sanitation Assistant for a food manufacturing client in Newburyport, MA. You will join the Sanitation Department to support cleanliness and safety standards, working with a team to meet production needs.

The role features a Monday–Thursday shift from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. and pay of $17.16 per hour, with benefits available after the waiting period and opportunities to grow skills in sanitation equipment and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform duties at a pace consistent with department expectations.
• Strong manual dexterity and motor skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform overhead lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to meet the plant’s sanitation needs.
• Clean equipment, utensils, barrels, and other assigned items.
• Maintain facility areas including floors, bathrooms, doors, walls, and windows.
• Collect and dispose of trash and cardboard in proper recycling receptacles and operate balers.
• Operate sanitation equipment such as steam cleaners, foamers, and automatic floor scrubbers.
