Job summary

RTC is hiring for a plant position in Romeoville, IL. This union role pays $20.10 per hour with overtime after 8 hours on weekdays and time-and-a-half on Saturdays.

The job includes safety-focused duties such as processing scrap material, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and complying with 6S standards. Applicants must be 18+, fluent in English, able to lift 50 lbs, and be able to work flexible start and end times, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, lift, reach, and twist repetitively.
• Must lift 50 lbs. throughout the day.
• Must speak English fluently and read basic instructions in English.
• Able to work in a team setting as well as work independently.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be flexible with start and end times and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Process and recycle plant scrap material in an efficient manner
• Maintain the cleanliness of the scrap area
• Ensure recyclable material is sorted appropriately and report non-compliance
• Operate machinery in accordance with all safety regulations
• Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management
• Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and organized per 6S standards
• Perform other duties as required

Compensation

*This is a Union Position and Pays $20.10/HR Eligible for Overtime pay after working 8 hours a day Monday-Friday and time and a half for all hours worked on Saturdays
