Job summary

RTC is seeking a Quality Inspector at our Romeoville plant to inspect parts and products across incoming, in-process, and shipping stages to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, basic math, and the ability to operate a computer. You must be able to stand for the full eight-hour shift and lift up to 50 pounds, with flexibility for shifts and locations as production needs arise.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to do basic math and simple calculations.
• Must be able to use a computer, laptop or tablet for required work.
• Able to stand and move about the plant for the full work shift (8 hours).
• Able to lift 50 pounds and safely move and handle items.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must be flexible with work location, hours and shifts to meet production and shipping needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and products during incoming inspection, production and shipping to ensure quality requirements.
• Check parts for visual defects, function, damage and other quality issues.
• Follow inspection instructions, drawings and quality standards.
• Complete inspection forms, records, reports and other required paperwork.
• Report quality problems to the appropriate person.
• Follow all safety rules and report safety concerns.
• Keep the inspection area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Compensation

*This is a Union Position and pays $20.60/HR

Eligible for Overtime pay after working 8 hours a day Monday-Friday and time and a half for all hours worked on Saturdays
