Job summary

Randstad USA in Carson, CA seeks a dedicated sanitation and food safety professional to join our production facility. This role emphasizes hygiene, compliance with FDA/USDA standards, and efficient operation on night shifts.

The candidate will follow sanitation schedules, operate light lifting trucks if trained, and actively support a safe, clean, and compliant production environment. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Follows proper Food Safety Standards.
• Complies with sanitation and cleanliness requirements of the total facility.
• Follows strict sanitation specifications and procedures in a safe manner.
• Maintains working areas and tools organized and clean.
• Performs daily, weekly and other tasks to keep the facility compliant with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory agencies requirements.
• Complies with Safety Data Sheet requirements in the handling of chemicals and PPE.
• Follows proper handling procedures for chemicals and contaminants.
• Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of tools, racks, loggers, buckets and equipment.
• Handles and disposes waste according to safety and food safety standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment for production use and ensures equipment is staged ready for use.
• Properly cleans and organizes equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Operate light industrial lifting trucks when trained and certified.
• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule requirements.
• Report issues with chemical handling or safety to management.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in training.
• Report injuries immediately and adhere to attendance policies.
• May be asked to move between lines and perform other duties.

• Complies with Safety Data Sheet requirements in the handling of chemicals and proper use of PPE.


• Follows proper handling procedures for chemicals and any other hazardous substances.


• Responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of tools, storage racks, loggers, buckets, utensils and equipment in all departments.


• Handles and disposes waste according to our safety, food safety and operational standards.


• Cleans and sanitizes equipment for production use and ensures equipment is staged ready for use.


• Properly cleans and organizes equipment and/or utensils to prevent cross-contamination.


• Must operate light industrial lifting trucks - when properly trained and certified.


• Responsible for following the Master Sanitation Schedule requirements.


• Notifies management of any issues or problems with chemical handling, PPE issues and issues with work duties.


• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.


• Reports any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.


• Performs only job functions that they have been trained on and fully understand.


• Is punctual, on time, and adheres to company attendance policies. Regular Attendance is an essential job function.


• May perform other duties as assigned and may be moved between production lines and areas and asked to perform other assignments as needed.
