Job summary

EGC Construction in Newport, KY is seeking pipe welders/fitters for process/utility piping systems. Ideal experience in Food & Beverage or Pharmaceutical industries is preferred but not required. Must be able to certify TIG welding and hold OSHA 10/30 or be willing to obtain it before starting.

You will weld stainless pipe and sanitary tubing, inspect welds, and assist foremen with layout and installation. Travel within a 50-mile radius is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to certify in TIG welding.
• Transportation and good communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius and to other states.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Weld stainless pipe and sanitary tubing for process and utility piping systems.
• Inspect welds to meet product specifications.
• Welding and polishing of round and square SS tubing.
• Assist foremen and pipefitters/welders with layout and installation.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance, inspection and installation on equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and maintain a safe work area.
