Job summary

Central States Industrial (CSI) is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Installation Services team based out of Springfield, Missouri. This hands-on role focuses on TIG welding of sanitary stainless-steel systems at customer locations nationwide, with emphasis on safety, craftsmanship, and customer service.

You will read blueprints, perform pipe-fitting support, and operate site equipment. Travel up to 100% is required, including overnight/weekend work.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience is required.
• 2–3 years of sanitary tube welding experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience operating basic construction equipment.
• Pride of workmanship and responsibility for work performed.
• Safety-conscious with professional customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding of sanitary stainless-steel tubing and process piping to meet customer and CSI quality requirements
• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of welded components
• Assist with pipe fitting and installation activities as needed
• Accurately read and interpret tape measurements, scales, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, torches, saws, drill motors, plasma torches, Fischer saws, and other equipment
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment
• Work effectively as part of a field installation team while maintaining a professional presence at customer facilities
• Travel to customer locations and work overnight and/or weekend assignments as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Take ownership of assigned work and complete installations according to specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations
