Job summary

EGC Construction in Newport, KY is seeking a Pipefitter to join our process/utility piping team serving the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries. You will read blueprints and P&IDs, lay out, install, and maintain piping systems while ensuring safety on site.

Requirements include OSHA 10/30, a high school diploma or equivalent, transportation, and willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius. A combination fitter/welder is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10/30 certification required or obtainable.
• Valid transportation and ability to travel within 50 miles.
• Experience with piping layout and basic welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and P&IDs.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain process piping systems.
• Inspect site for obstructions and determine pipe path clearance.
• Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch and related tools.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to process equipment.
• Follow safety regulations and keep work area clean.
