Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a sanitation technician responsible for maintaining a clean, compliant facility.

You will monitor pest activity, apply pesticides as part of the pest management program, and inspect for unsanitary conditions to protect product integrity. This role involves crack and crevice spraying, fumigation in warehouses, documenting logs required by law, and coordinating with management to address sanitation issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus specialized training or college courses.
• Two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• 1–6 months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Log and document pest activity as required by law.
• Use pesticides as part of pest management to protect product integrity.
• Inspect premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
• Perform crack and crevice spraying of the facility.
• Carry out bin fumigations and warehouse/mill fogging.
• Fumigate outbound shipments as required.

• Assist Utility crew as needed.

Job Duties

• Monitor pest activity at the facility. Log and document as required by law.
• Responsibly and legally use pesticides as part of the pest management program to maintain and preserve product integrity.
• Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
• Crack and crevice spraying of entire facility.
• Perform bin fumigations and warehouse and mill fogging.
• Fumigate outbound shipments as required.
• Confers with management and production personnel on sanitation problems.
• Assists in maintaining all fumigation records and documentation according to applicable laws.
• Assists Utility crew as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and two years of related experience and/or training; and a minimum of 1-6 months of experience preferred.
