Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

This role oversees daily cleaning operations, enforces sanitation standards, and supports a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the facility.

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating sanitation staff to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment across non-production areas, including break rooms, offices, and restrooms. This role oversees daily cleaning operations, enforces sanitation standards, and supports a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and assign daily tasks to sanitation technicians
  • Ensure all break rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas meet company cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to sanitation staff on procedures, safety, and chemical handling
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and coordinate reordering as needed
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals (SDS compliance)
  • Address employee concerns, performance issues, and attendance in alignment with company policies
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve facility-related issues
  • Support deep cleaning, special projects, and preparation for audits or leadership visits
  • Maintain documentation of cleaning schedules, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies, including PPE usage and hazard communication
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certifications in facilities, sanitation, or safety preferred
  • 2-5 years of custodial/sanitation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and OSHA safety standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly
  • Ability to perform and demonstrate cleaning tasks as needed
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment

Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures

May require flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends
