Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse in the SANE Program for per-diem work at Evanston Hospital. The SANE will perform medical forensic exams, document findings, and provide compassionate care for sexual assault survivors in the ED or inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include collaboration with ED physicians, survivor advocates, law enforcement, and legal professionals, along with ongoing participation in SANE meetings and training as required by state standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with Illinois RN licensure.
• SANE certification required or approved by Illinois Attorney General SANE Coordinator.
• Prior forensic nursing experience preferred.
• Proficient computer literacy or willingness to train in Epic.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical forensic exams for adult/adolescent survivors.
• Document findings with thorough charting and forensic photography when needed.
• Collaborate with ED staff, law enforcement, and legal teams.
