Weavers Way Co-op in Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill is seeking a Sandwich Clerk to join our member-owned deli team. This full-time role (approximately 35+ hours per week) emphasizes friendly service, accurate meat and cheese preparation, and helping customers with recommendations.

You will slice, weigh, package, and price items, maintain clean work areas, follow food-safety procedures, and collaborate with a team to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Competenze

We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Sandwich Clerk in our Chestnut Hill location. This position is Full-time with an anticipated 35+ hours per week. Flexible availability. Responsibilities Include

• Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
• Observe all Weavers Way policies and procedures
• Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses.
• Preparing special orders and party trays.
• Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure they comply with company standards and that new items and promotions are showcased.
• Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.
• Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Deli Manager or Manager on Duty
• Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
• Deli counter or food preparation experience preferred.
• Commercial kitchen experience, including knife skills, is preferred.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good communication and people skills.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to remain standing for extended periods of time.
• Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
