Weavers Way Co-op is hiring a Full-time Deli Clerk for our Germantown location. You will deliver friendly, efficient service at the deli counter, help with slicing and packaging, and keep displays appealing and clean throughout the shift.

We are seeking someone with deli or food prep experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. You must be a member, or become one, of Weavers Way Co-op.

Qualifications

• Deli counter or food preparation experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with deli equipment such as slicers.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions and making recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, package, and price meats and cheeses.
• Update displays and cases to showcase new items and promotions.
• Keep work areas clean and stocked; ensure tools are in working order.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures required by the company and regulators.
• Cooperate with team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure displays, products, and services meet company standards.

We are looking for an energetic, community‑oriented and experienced individual to work as a Deli Clerk at our Germantown location. This position is Full-time non-exempt position working 30‑34 hours per week. Open availability is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great food, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities Include

• Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
• Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses.
• Updating displays, cases, and other customer‑facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
• Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.
• Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
• Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.

• Experience with commercial deli equipment, such as slicers, is preferred.
