Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Dover, New Jersey is seeking a Production Worker (Rough Sandblaster) for the Midnight shift.

This on-site role involves operating sandblast, spin blast and water hone equipment to finish castings, remove scale and prepare parts for aerospace applications. The starting hourly rate is $23.58 with progression to $26.33 after 12 months, plus a shift premium and a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holidays, 401(k), medical coverage and more.

Qualifications

• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Operates sandblast, spin blast and water hone equipment to clean metal castings of scale, foreign material and discoloration to produce a smooth surface and remove shell material.
• Must effectively work and communicate well with all team members.
• Maintain production counts or other records as required.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace.
• Follow all applicable safety rules and work in a safe manner.
• Responsible for verifying calibration stickers and acceptable condition of equipment.
• Must verify routers are correct before working castings.
