Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking a senior infrastructure leader to guide the Cloud Platform team. You will drive architecture decisions, manage engineers, and ship high-performance, secure, isolated environments for AI agents.

You will balance hands-on architecture work with people leadership, mentoring engineers and aligning with product and research needs. This role is pivotal to scale our sovereign AI compute platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of real people leadership managing engineers.
• Shipped production Go-based systems.
• Deep Linux internals: namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, virtualization.
• Strong ownership and ability to work with Product, design, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Build the isolation layer: microVMs or containers.
• Own the security boundary. Keep customer code safe.
• Scale to fleets: latency, density, and lifecycle management for thousands of environments.
• Write Go and own architecture decisions.
• Grow the engineers, coach them beyond their comfort zone.
• Own people management: hiring, performance, growth paths, feedback.
• Partner with Product Managers to turn frontier research into shippable primitives.
