Job summary

Wood is seeking a hands-on worker in Longmont, CO to sandblast pipe and skids in various configurations using a 2” high pressure hose, and to paint pipe and metal buildings with 2-part epoxy and acrylic paints.

You will follow all safety rules, identify proper tools, handle materials correctly, and operate equipment such as manlifts or forklifts as needed, while passing pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.

Qualifications

  • Must pass pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.
  • Experience with 2-part epoxy based paints and other acrylic 2-part paints.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Coordinate two or more limbs while seated, standing, or lying down.
  • Move hand and arm steadily to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Job description

  • Sandblasting pipe and skids in different configurations using a 2” high pressure hose; Air helmet will be provided
  • Painting pipe and metal buildings and skids.
  • Must have experience with 2-part epoxy based paints and other acrylic 2-part paints using respirator and PPE
  • Follow the rules of safe conduct at all times.
  • Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of hand tools and power tools appropriate for the job,
  • Recognize various materials used in the craft and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques.
  • Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.
Qualifications
  • The employee must possess a minimum reasoning ability usually associated with this type of work.
  • Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Multi-limb Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
  • Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • Gross Body Equilibrium - The ability to keep or regain your body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.
