The candidate should have at least 1 year of industrial sandblasting experience, basic math and literacy skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Safety gear is required, and this position cannot be remote.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in an industrial sandblasting environment.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be organized and able to perform in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Work at the direction of the Paint WC Lead to complete the following duties.
• Prepare surfaces for paint by sandblasting, grinding, sanding, de-greasing, seam sealing, etc.
• Stage materials for paint both pre and post paint.
• Before the abrading action, protect specific areas of the work surface using masking film, tape, paper, etc.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
• Maintenance of the sandblasting equipment, the booth and changing nozzles.
• Take initiative by recognizing needs and completing tasks before management assigns them.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, man-lifts.
• Spend the first 10 minutes of every day, after lunch and before leaving to clean and sanitize area.
• Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
