Job summary

Scope Services in Bridgman, MI is seeking a Temporary Manual Labor worker to support painting prep on chassis and fixtures, using air-powered sandblasting and related tools. This role follows specifications and production schedules.

You will perform paint prep with sandblasting, grinders, and related hand tools; inspect and prepare surfaces; read job orders and blueprints; work 50-60 hours weekly in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Relevant and recent working experience in an industrial paint environment preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform paint prep duties using air-powered sandblasting equipment, grinder, needle-guns, and other power/hand tools.
• Abrade surfaces to remove scale, paint, grease, rust so paint can be applied.
• Inspect items for proper welds and remove spatter, burrs, and defects.
• Disassemble and clean paint/sandblasting equipment using proper methods.
• Operate and/or use related equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and grinders.
