Job summary

M.W. Watermark in Holland, MI is seeking a skilled Painter to prepare and paint components and equipment to high quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

You will grind, sand, degrease, and apply alkyds, epoxies, urethane, and waterborne paints, operate spray equipment, and help maintain clean, safe work areas. This hands-on role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts, and collaborating with team to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial painting environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prep materials for paint by grinding, sanding, de-greasing, seam sealing, etc.
• Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other surfaces.
• Mix and apply alkyds, epoxies, urethane, zinc epoxies and waterborne paints according to prescribed formulas.
• Clean paint lines, paint guns and perform preventative maintenance to keep painting apparatus in working order.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and man-lifts as required.
• Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
