Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing is seeking an experienced Sandblaster for a long-term contract position in Poseyville, IN. The role focuses on preparing metal surfaces for coatings by sandblasting to remove rust, oil and cutting fluids, with a shift starting on 3rd (9:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu) and moving to 1st in late December.

Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a leading fabrication manufacturer in the Poseyville, IN area, is seeking experienced Sandblaster for long term contract position.

Job Summary:

Prepare metal for coatings by sandblasting the surface to remove rust, oil, and cutting fluids.

Shift:

Begin on 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday–Thursday) and transitions to 1st shift in late December.

Pay Rate:

$20.00/hour

Our ideal candidate:

• Experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, surface preparation, manufacturing, or metal fabrication environments preferred
• Skilled in sanding, masking, cleaning, and preparing metal surfaces for coatings
• Experience performing daily maintenance routines on paint prep and blast equipment.
• Able to accurately use measuring tools and record coating thickness and blast profiles
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and scissor lifts safely
• Safety-focused with strong attention to quality, detail, and housekeeping
• Physically capable of lifting, standing, bending, and working in a production environment
• Dependable team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Eager to learn, follow procedures, and contribute to efficient production operations

Position Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing, painting, sandblasting, or industrial experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts, and scissor liftsequipment safely
• Ability to lift 50–55 lbs. without assistance and perform physical labor
• Experience with hand tools and industrial equipment
• Strong attention to safety, quality, organization, and detail
• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced setting
