Job summary

Federal Signal in Stuart, FL is seeking a hands-on Sandblasting Operator to support surface preparation and powder coating operations. You will operate a sandblasting system, inspect parts for quality, and assist with coating processes as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a sandblasting system in a blasting room with hopper and media recovery system.
• Sandblast stainless steel, carbon steel, and alumina parts using JetMag abrasives to prepare surfaces for painting or powder coating.
• Monitor dust collection system and empty dust collector hopper daily using a forklift to maintain cleanliness.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and support daily production.
• Inspect parts for proper surface preparation and quality.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of blasting equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with powder coating operations as backup when needed.
