Position Overview

The Sand Plant Superintendent oversees the safe operation and maintenance of sand and gravel pits and aggregate production in Dover, DE. Key responsibilities include customer service, personnel supervision, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA/DOT) and Pennsy Supply policies.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and meetings.
• Coordinate with the Area Manager and plant personnel on maintenance and operational issues.
• Manage production metrics, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Supervise and review safety, performance, and quality control data.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and road conditions.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must pass drug test and criminal background check.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Availability to work various shifts and locations.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in the aggregate industry.
