Interstate Earthworks, LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Mine Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment in the sand mine, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ operating heavy equipment in a mining, construction, or similar environment.
• Familiarity with sand mining operations is a plus.
• Proficient in operating multiple types of heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and equipment maintenance.
• Heavy equipment operator certification (preferred).
• MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) certification (preferred or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and haul trucks.
• Performs daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Loads and transports sand and other materials within the mine or to designated areas.
• Assists with stockpiling and loading materials for processing.
• Ensures consistent supply of raw materials to the plant for processing.
• Adheres to all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and following mine safety guidelines.
• Participates in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Monitors work areas to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Maintains clear work areas, ensuring roads and paths are accessible.
• Helps in managing the flow of trucks entering and exiting the mine.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure production targets are met.
