Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Sanctions Controls & Strategy professional to design, implement, and enhance sanctions screening across onboarding, monitoring, and transaction screening. This remote, contract role spans 12+ months and requires collaboration with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams.

You will translate regulatory requirements into screening rules, configurations, and testing, while monitoring data quality and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sanctions compliance or financial crime risk experience.
• Knowledge of OFAC, UN, EU and UK sanctions frameworks.
• Experience with screening configuration, UAT, data quality monitoring.
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into screening controls.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Nice to have Python, BI tools or reporting workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• CAMS, CGSS, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain sanctions screening controls across onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and transaction screening.
• Translate requirements into screening rules, data fields, and decision logic.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Operations teams.
• Monitor coverage, data quality, volumes, and alert trends; address gaps.
• Support testing, dashboards, automated checks, and reporting workflows.
• Maintain control inventories, documentation, and remediation records.
• Assist internal audits and regulatory information requests as needed.
