Google Compliance is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our US-based team in Chicago, IL. You will help ensure our sanctions program aligns with evolving international regulations and internal policies.

You will process alerts, conduct investigations, and support governance across Google's sanctions operations. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve system-generated sanctions alerts, including name screening, transaction monitoring, and country-based restrictions, to identify potential matches.
• Conduct investigations of potential sanctions matches, gather information and documentation from internal and external sources.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on sanctions operations, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to junior analysts and other stakeholders across the organization.
• Contribute to the strategic development and maintenance of sanctions operations policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with evolving global regulations.
• Review changes in global sanctions laws, regulations, and enforcement trends issued by authorities (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN), and assess potential impact on Google's operations.

Education
