Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager, Sanctions Compliance to lead complex, cross‑functional sanctions initiatives. You will act as the program expert, translating regulatory requirements into structured workplans, and drive remediation from inquiries and audits.

The role requires independent judgment, executive‑level communication, and collaboration with Legal, Product Compliance, and regional leads. The position sits in a hybrid work model with on‑site collaboration several days a week.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years in sanctions compliance at a financial institution, MSB, regulatory body, or consulting firm.
  • Mastery of OFAC sanctions programs, and knowledge across main markets in EMEA and APAC.
  • Ability to issue well-reasoned, documented dispositions without supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Act as sanctions subject matter expert and escalation point across global teams.
  • Translate strategy into structured workplans with milestones and owners, surfacing delivery risks.
  • Own remediation actions from regulatory inquiries and audits, tracking to closure.
  • Maintain sanctions issues register with remediation language, due dates, and escalations.
  • Serve as liaison to Controls Testing and Internal Audit, ensuring evidence collection and exam readiness.
  • Draft and own sanctions control intake requests and translate regulatory requirements into actionable specs.
  • Maintain the sanctions controls library and lead the annual Sanctions RCSA.
