Job summary

Bank of America Corporation is seeking an experienced sanctions screening professional for the Richmond, VA area. The role focuses on day-to-day resolution of complex issues, reviewing transactions and relationships to ensure compliance with the Economic Sanctions Program.

You will advise on design and implementation of processes, coordinate with multiple Lines of Business, and support global payment operations. The position requires 2+ years in operations/compliance and a strong risk mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ year experience in Operations or Compliance; sanctions experience highly desired
• Experience & Knowledge of economic sanctions program requirements and disposition of sanctions alerts or extensive background with WTX and/or ACH experience
• Experience in client due diligence and KYC
• Highly organized – bias for action and ability to make timely, fact-based decisions
• Analytical and detail oriented; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and within a team; strong risk framework
• Ability to prioritize, use initiative and be flexible
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday; may work additional hours as needed
• PC proficiency and typing skills

Responsibilities

• Perform sanctions reviews on various Transactions and/or Relationships
• Ensure compliance with OFAC and other regulators
• Monitor queue volumes and priorities
• Communicate with Lines of Business to obtain information or relay decisions
• Advise on design, development, and implementation of complex products and systems
• Direct activities of a team on special initiatives
• Provide technical expertise within operations and relate to other groups
• Contribute to present-state and future-state planning for programs/projects
• Identify and define responsibilities for key initiatives
