Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a reliable dietary aide to assist with meal service in our healthcare facility. You will set up dining areas, help prepare meals under supervision, and deliver trays to residents on schedule.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, valid Food Handler certification, and strong customer service skills. You will communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff while maintaining safety and cleanliness in all areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under dietary manager and cook supervision.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, dishes, trash, etc.
• Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory as directed.

Classification and PayHourly Non-ExemptReports toDietary ManagerSummary/ObjectiveIn keeping with our organization’s goals, this position is responsible for setting up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order and delivering trays at designated times to the correct rooms. Duties must be performed in accordance with food health and safety procedures as well as the facility’s policies and procedures.Job DutiesSet up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and orderPrepare meals under the direction of dietary manager and cookDeliver dishes and trays at designated times and roomsTake down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, dishes, trash, etc.Discard leftovers and take out garbageClean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipmentClean other others of facility as directedStock ingredients and monitor, food, beverage, and equipment/supplies inventory as directedEnsure that food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructionsCommunicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisorsAttend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directedReport all resident, staff, or other concerns to the appropriate department headReport all incidents, accidents, unsafe situations, and concerns immediatelyMaintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilitiesEnsure that responsibilities are performed consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations as well as facility policies and proceduresSupervisory ResponsibilityThere are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. There will be scheduled times of work on the weekends and holidays. Significant events can occur at any given time that require working. Ongoing direction and support may be necessary if systems are not properly implemented, continuously improved, and monitored.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThis position generally will require physical activity. It may at times require walking to various locations within a facility.
