What You’ll Be Doing

• Manages work to ensure successful completion of all department tasks and projects.
• Oversees development and completion of employees’ personal and team goals.
• Ensures persons, equipment and routes are assigned to personnel to monitor and report sanitary sewer overflows during wet weather events.
• Manages activities to complete required daily, weekly and monthly sampling requirements.

What You’ll Bring with You (Requirements/Qualifications)

• Associate Degree in a technical specialty program or a related field; three or more years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must complete a 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) course to obtain certification at the Hazardous Material Technician level.
• The course must be completed within six months of obtaining the position and fulfill requirements established in 29 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 1910.120.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have safe work and driving habits.
