Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking a detail-oriented administrative associate to receive and log client and field samples. You will inspect containers, temperatures, and preservatives, then log accurately into the LIMS system.

responsibilities include transporting samples to storage, disposing of expired materials, and following ALS SOPs and QA manuals. Strong English communication and a willingness to multi-task in a laboratory setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Desire to work in an administrative position in a laboratory setting.
• Detail oriented—able to interpret and transcribe client chain of custody into the LIMS.
• Good typing and data-entry skills.
• Familiarity with chemical symbols and general scientific terminology.
• Strong communication in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team.
• Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly.
• Basic knowledge of EPA methodologies.
• High School Diploma / GED; B.S. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples from outside clients and field personnel.
• Inspect samples for proper containers, temperatures, preservatives.
• Log samples accurately into the LIMS system.
• Transport samples to appropriate storage locations and dispose of expired samples.
• Adhere to SOPs, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct with staff and clients.
