Job summary

Phillip Jeffries in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Sample Manufacturing Associate to precisely pick and pack wallcoverings, reporting to the Sample Manufacturing Assistant Manager. This role supports production, ensures accurate sampling and shipping, and keeps work areas clean.

You will work Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm, with an hourly starting rate of $19.25, plus annual bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and follows through skills.
• Excellent time management and follow up skills.
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team or as a single individual.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with WMS systems, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manually glue Phillip Jeffries samples, meeting daily production metrics (expected output of approximately 200 samples per hour).
• Select master samples based on daily picking lists and provide them to machine operators as needed.
• Refil* master samples accurately at the end of each shift and upon completion of sample runs.
• Receive incoming product and properly store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Become cross‑trained on the guillotine and other equipment as needed.
• Assist with sample gluing and related production tasks.
• Maintain and clean all necessary equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Support the Sample Manufacturing Assistant Manager with additional tasks as assigned.
