Job summary

Phillip Jeffries Ltd in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Packing Associate to pick and pack wallcoverings for clients, reporting to the Sampling Fulfillment Manager. Workdays are Monday–Friday, 10:30am–7:30pm at our headquarters in Fairfield, NJ.

Responsibilities include mastering sampling processes, meeting SLAs, contributing ideas for workflow improvements, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace to ensure a smooth fulfillment flow.

Qualifications

• Must read and analyze documents in English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Previous fulfillment center experience preferred.
• Experience with order picker and reach trucks is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and process samples with precision.
• Meet internal and external SLAs and improve processes.
• Propose ideas to improve the fulfillment system.
• Maintain a neat, organized workspace per 5S.
• Handle sample receiving, put-away, and replenishment.
• Support end-to-end sample flow.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for picking and packing our wallcovering for clients, reporting to the Sampling Fulfillment Manager and based our headquarters in Fairfield, NJ Monday - Friday 10:30am-7:30pm

What you will be doing

• Become a master of Sampling: You'll pick, pack, and process samples with precision, ensuring they reach their destination on time, every time.
• Unlock the secrets of efficiency: Hitting internal and external service level agreements (SLAs) is your game. You'll streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and be a champion for a smooth-running fulfillment operation.
• Be the voice of positive change: Share your ideas with the team and management. Together, you'll create an ever-more efficient sample fulfillment system.
• Maintain a "Tour Ready" environment: Your workspace will be the envy of the department. You'll champion organization and cleanliness, ensuring everything is in tip-top shape, always.
• Master Every Stage of Sample Receiving: From the moment inbound inventory arrives, you're on it—receiving, putting away, and replenishing with speed and precision. You ensure samples are always where they need to be, powering a flawless fulfillment flow.
• Embrace the power of 5S: Resetting your work area to the 5S standard is second nature to you. Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and analyze documents, reports and computer screens in English
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Excellent time management
• Previous experience in fulfillment centers a plus
• Previous experience with order picker and reach trucks a plus
• Fork lift experience is a plus
