Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a Sample Management Associate to compile required documentation and package biological samples for shipping. The role requires handling inventory, study data, and equipment within the Sample Management group, while ensuring GLP/SOP compliance and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, tracking, storage management, and preparation of inventories for requests.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1 year of related experience in a life science laboratory.
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
Certification/Licensure: None.

Responsibilities

Package biological samples and ensure accurate documentation for shipment.
Deliver packages to carrier/shipper as needed.
Notify directors and sponsors of tracking numbers and confirm delivery arrivals.
Handle shipment logistics, receiving, storage, inventory and verification per protocols.
Log samples in and out of storage using the designated system.
Manage check in/out for analysis and return samples to proper storage.
Prepare sample inventories and verifications for requests/receipts.
Perform data-entry to maintain the inventory database.
File study data and generate box labels.
Comply with GLPs and SOPs.
Manage sample and materials disposition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
