Job summary

Brigham City Community Hospital in Utah is seeking a highly capable RN for Same Day Surgery on a PRN basis. You will deliver patient-centered care during operative and perioperative phases, support room turnover, and coordinate with surgeons and OR staff to maintain smooth workflow.

The role requires an active Utah RN license (or compact), an associate degree, and at least one year of OR experience, with BLS/BCLS certification. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Current State of Utah RN license or compact.
• Associate degree in Nursing.
• One or more years of OR experience required.
• BLS (or BCLS) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Assist in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the surgeon, team and patients.
• Ensure safety policies and documentation are followed.
