Job summary

Blue Mountain Hospital in Blanding, Utah is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team on a PRN basis. The OR RN will provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures, with on-call requirements weekly or monthly.

Required licensure in Utah and 1-2 years of OR experience (PRE-OP, PACU, Intraop) with BSN preferred. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

Qualifications

• Current Utah RN license.
• 1–2 years OR experience (PRE-OP, PACU, Intraop).
• BSN preferred.
• Surgical scrub experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during surgery.
• Document care per hospital policy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Educate patients and families about the surgical process and post-op care.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and confidentiality.
