Job summary

Blue Mountain Hospital in Blanding, UT is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN). You will provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team.

The role requires UT RN licensure, 1–2 years of OR experience (PRE-OP, PACU, intraoperative), and BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications; BSN preferred. This is a PRN position with on-call requirements, offering growth in a rural hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah.
• 1–2 years of Operating Room experience (Pre-Op, PACU, Intraop).
• BSN preferred and surgical scrub experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff for seamless care.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition; respond to changes promptly.
• Document pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care per policy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Educate patients and families about the surgical process and post-op care.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and confidentiality.
