TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN, is seeking a Same Day Surgery Nurse PRN to join our OR team. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate families, and manage preoperative care including IV therapy and medications.

The role involves surgical site verification, adherence to universal protocols, and rapid response to emergencies while delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and 1 year of RN experience.
• ACLS within 1 year of start date and BCLS within 30 days.
• Surgical Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to improve workflow.
