TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN is seeking an Operating Room Nurse PRN to join our surgical team. The role focuses on preop assessment, patient education, and perioperative care in a dynamic OR setting.

You will work with surgeons, nurses and technologists to ensure patient safety and efficient workflows, while applying evidence-based practices and leadership in care delivery.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 2 years of RN experience.
• OR Circulating experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures.
• Prepare patients with IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons and surgical staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership in care.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment and follow-up.
