Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Nurse PRN to join a dynamic perioperative team. You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, and manage prep including IV therapy and preoperative meds.

You will participate in site verification and follow universal protocols while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role requires ACLS and BCLS within specified timeframes, RN licensure, and preferred Endoscopy and surgical services experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required or in progress
• ACLS within 1 year of start date
• BCLS within 30 days of start date
• Endoscopy experience preferred
• Surgical services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Apply nursing process and clinical judgment
• Monitor patient condition and document changes
• Educate patients and families about condition and follow-up
