Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst to manage end-to-end software assets, entitlements, licenses, and renewals in our systems, while driving governance and optimization. This role emphasizes data quality, process improvement, and collaboration across Procurement, Finance, IT, and Legal to realize cost savings and compliance.

The position supports a modern SAM program with automation, responsible AI adoption, and cloud governance, contributing to ongoing operational excellence

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in software asset management or related discipline.
• Experience maintaining and reconciling entitlement, inventory, contract, or usage data.
• Working knowledge of licensing models including SaaS, enterprise agreements, and consumption-based licensing.
• Experience with a SAM/ITSM platform.
• Proficiency with productivity, reporting, and automation tools; experience with AI-assisted analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate entitlement, contract, purchase, subscription, installation, allocation, and usage records in SAM systems; resolve data discrepancies.
• Perform license reconciliation and compliance analysis; support audits and remediation.
• Analyze inventory and usage to identify optimization and coordinate reclamation or reallocation.
• Track renewals, costs, terms, and milestones; validate POs, invoices, contracts, and proofs of entitlement.
• Manage software requests and onboarding of new products; ensure governance and catalog accuracy.
• Prepare operational reports and metrics on usage, spend, renewals, compliance, data quality, and savings.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, IT, Security, Legal, and others throughout the software lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain SAM processes, SOPs, maps, controls, and knowledge materials; seek data quality improvements.
