Job summary

Pick Your Part in Dixmoor, IL is seeking a hands-on yard worker to dismantle and extract vehicle parts from salvage cars in outdoor conditions. You will record vehicle details, operate a forklift or loader when needed, and help stage vehicles in the yard.

The role requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work across all weather conditions, and maintain EPA/OSHA compliance while wearing PPE. Flexibility for weekend shifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors in the yard removing vehicle parts from salvage cars (e.g., quarter panels, doors, hoods, axles, suspension).
• Record information on vehicles set accurately and promptly.
• Operate a forklift or loader to move vehicles as needed.
• Clean debris from vehicles and removal areas; handle batteries for testing and resale.
• Stage vehicles in the yard with Loader Operator; dismantle tires and ensure safety.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Wear required PPE and comply with company policies; support continuous quality improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
