Job summary

Pick Your Part is seeking a hands-on team member to dismantle salvage vehicles in an outdoor yard setting. You will drain fluids, remove parts, and prep vehicles for yard placement, following safety procedures and EPA/OSHA rules.

The role involves recording vehicle data and potentially operating a forklift to move cars. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and flexibility for varying schedules, including weekends.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and follow instructions.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work outdoors in the yard; draining fluids and removing parts from vehicles in preparation for setting the vehicles in the yard.
• Remove all wire, wheels and cores as required in a safe and efficient manner to prep vehicles for being crushed.
• Works primarily outdoors dismantling salvage cars.
• Setting vehicles in the yard as assigned. Recording information on vehicles set accurately and in a timely manner.
• May operate a forklift or loader to assist in moving vehicles from process to the yard
• Clean up debris from crush pad area.
• Work with Loader Operator to stage vehicles or pull vehicles in yard properly
• Walk the yard and place debris in the cars being removed from the yard
• Dismantle tires
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are being met
• Wear all required PPE
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Initiate and supports the continual improvement of the companies quality improvement system
• Assume other duties as assigned.
