Job summary

Danos is seeking a Salt Water Disposal Operator to safely operate and monitor SWD facilities and related equipment in field conditions.

You will oversee pumps, tanks, valves, and piping, monitor pressures and flow, and perform routine inspections with a focus on safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with salt water disposal operations in field settings.
• Hands-on PD pump experience is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with pumps, tanks, valves, piping and pressure systems.
• Ability to work independently and make safe operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SWD facilities, pumps, tanks, piping, valves and related equipment.
• Monitor pressures, fluid levels, flow rates and overall facility performance.
• Operate, inspect and troubleshoot positive displacement pumps.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot pump failures, leaks and pressure problems.
• Coordinate repairs and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Monitor tank levels and ensure safe transfer and disposal of fluids.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and inspection records.
• Follow company safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and participate in on-call rotations.

Overview

The SWD (Saltwater Disposal) Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of saltwater disposal facilities and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SWD facilities, pumps, tanks, piping, valves, and related equipment.
• Monitor pressures, fluid levels, flow rates, and overall facility performance.
• Operate, inspect, and troubleshoot positive displacement (PD) pumps.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and identify mechanical or operational issues.
• Troubleshoot pump failures, leaks, pressure issues, and other facility problems.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Monitor tank levels and ensure fluids are safely transferred and disposed of.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, readings, and inspection records.
• Follow all company safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Respond to after-hours callouts, alarms, equipment failures, and operational issues as required.
• Work independently in the field and communicate issues to supervision in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Previous Salt Water Disposal experience required
• Hands-on experience with positive displacement (PD) pumps highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with pumps, tanks, valves, piping, and pressure systems.
• Ability to work independently and make safe operational decisions in the field.
• Must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to callouts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical requirements of the position.
